Just received this wallet a few weeks ago. I have to say that it's the best wallet I've ever had, minimalist or otherwise. It's one sturdy piece of leather wrapped around itself. I was looking for a minimalist front pocket carry wallet, and this is it for me. Anyone else have this wallet?

Huge Craft and Lore Fan. Here are a few pics. The one in the last pic is my favorite which is Shell Cordovan. You made a great purchase. Make sure you update the photo for the patina.

I love minimalist wallets and gear. This design would be something I would explore if it offered RFID shielding.

Really nice, I recently upgraded to a minimalist wallet by Tumi.

I just checked out the www.craftandlore.com website and the Port Wallet is very tempting.
If you decide on pulling the trigger, go with either the Horween Chromexcel or Shell Cordovan. The Chromexcel requires very little break in period and the pull up is amazing. The Shell Cordovan is in a league of its own, although pricey. The veg tan is good too but is stiff when you first get it and will break in longer. Chad (the owner) usually has Black Friday deals so be on the lookout.

Thanks. I like the idea of the Horween Chromexcel. The design is perfect, nothing is going to fall out, but everything is open and accessible.

I'm glad to see there's some love for Craft + Lore here! I have the basic Port Wallet. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, so I didn't shell out the bucks for one of their more premium offerings. However, I am interested in the Chromexcel. That said, I am quite satisfied with the more basic model. I don't carry a whole lot of cards in mine (4 cards total), so there was zero break in period. Even though it's not Chromexcel, the leather is fairly supple and not nearly as stiff as I'd anticipated. Before choosing the Port Wallet, I'd seriously considered wallets by Bellroy, Saddleback Leather, Capsule, and Ainste. So glad I chose the wallet I did. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Maybe one day soon I'll get one of their leather covers for my Field Notes notebooks.

If you decide on making future purchases, make sure to tell him that "whiskeyandbrass" from Instagram said Hi! I'm looking forward to seeing the patina on your Port.

Nice wallet.

I thought about a leather wallet and might have made one myself, but I decided I wanted to try a new approach after having carried leather wallets, nylon and codura wallets etc.

As I wanted a minimalistic wallet, I looked at what was available and thought to myself - that could be a DIY project.

The result:

Carbon fiber on one side and very thin slice of titanium backed by carbon fibre on the other half. Bicycle inner tube holds the wallet together and holds bills surprisingly secure.

It wont show patina like leather of course and is pretty much indestructable...except for the bicycle inner tube, but then one should always carry extra rubber.
