I just got my Stainless Steel CRKT Driter today with the frame lock.
Wow! I am thoroughly impressed. This knife has set new standards
for me. Now let me clarify. I'm not saying this is a Sebenza or anything.
I'm just saying that being that I paid 18 bucks for this knife, I pretty
much will expect any knife I buy in the future to be just about perfect.

This knife has absolutely NO PLAY, is PERFECTLY centered, came very
sharp, and just overall super high quality and well designed.

I used to not understand why people got so peeved when their blades
were slightly off center. To me that was not a big deal. Now I do kind
of see it as a big deal cause if a China made $18 blade can get it right,
pretty much everyone else has to as well.

I hope to see many more examples like the Drifter, Tenacious, Vex, in
the future. Good time to be into knives if you're on a budget.

Glad to hear there is another high-value blade on the market! I have not had good experiences with CKRT products, but the Drifter sounds like a winner, and another good inexpensive knife, a la the Spyderco Tenacious and the Kershaw Skyline.

It's 8Cr14MoV at around 58-59 HRC. It's a pretty decent for a cheapie.

Friend at work got one as a groomsman gift... Very solid, simple, little framelock. I really like it. Not so hot on the recurve blade, but at that price I wouldn't have a problem grinding away on that puppy.

Easy to get shaving sharp. Does not scare away people. Looks and feels like a mini sebbie. Good value for money.

One of my most favorite small folders (and it really is small) and also my EDC.

I have purchased several CRKT knives. Since I enjoy collecting, appearance is my main goal. The Natural 1&2, M4-03, -13, -02LTD are, in my opinion, delightful to own. 8cr13MoV, AUS8 are fine with me. I have no complaints with these knives or my Kershaws, (Whirlwind, Cyclone and Blur). Nor is there anything to complain about when it comes to my Ti-Lites, Buck119's or my Black Bear Classic VG1 San Mai. I refuse to get hung up on minor incidentals with any blade I own or will own. I am,of course, diligent at purchase. I firmly believe that if one looks long enough at any blade they will inevitably find something to complain about. John J.

Fortunately the recurve is real slight, too. Should be real easy to remove if you don't care for it. :)

My girlfriend is supposed to 'suprise' me with the G10 model soon :D

It looks like it would make a good cutter for work.
