Hello guys. Looking to get a new knife for daily use and looking at the above CRKT series of knives.
Question I have is there quiet a wide array of prices in this line up of knives. from $69 to $139 depending on what retailer you're looking at.
Anyone able to help explain some of the differences between them out side of the obvious blade shapes.
For one I like the ones with the 3.88 / almost 4 in blade lengths and the ones that have a finger guard on top and bottom once opened for the most part.
I was looking at this one

Which at $69 seems like a good deal.
Then I see this one which is similar

but @ $99 are the differences significant? Besides the coating and serrations the big difference I see is the metal used
AUS 8 in the first one and 8Cr14MoV in the 2nd. But from what I can read there isn't a significant difference between the steels and some seem to prefer AUS 8 as its easier to restore the edge.
Any other experts able to chime in? I'm also open to other in this line up. Just don't feel like posting 20 links to different knives so if you know of others let me know
