I am mainly a Swiss Army Knife carrying guy but the CRKT in D2 looks like it might be a good EDC knife to complement my Swiss Army Climber. Does anybody have a CRKT Pilar 3 and what do you like about it?

I just got this in today, and I’ve got to say that it’s the best CRKT I’ve ever handled. Yes, that’s a low bar, but it’s a legitimately good budget knife. Shockingly great action, the bearings are a huge improvement over their usual Teflon/bronze combo. Blade was good and sharp, and overall it looks well executed. Haven’t cut much, so can’t say how the D2 is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on par with other budget knives in the same $50 range. As Vox designs are know for, it feels great in hand. I think it actually competes well with Civivi, CJRB and QSP, and leaves Chinese Spydercos in the dust (they need to move on from 8Cr13MoV).

Agree - its one of the best, if not the best "budget" offerings out right now. Great knife for the money.

Same. Awesome knife in that price range. I'm loving it. It flicks out nice. I gave it a detent ramp, so it closes really smooth now too. Great shape in the hand.

I'm looking forward to some special editions, plan in picking up something with a upgraded scale or steal.
