The steel is AUS 6M. How strong is this steel ? Anyone has any experience with this particular knife ? Thanks.

It's not a bad overall knife. Many companies have used AUS 6 including SOG in there SEAL 2000 knife. I found that it was not as sharp as I was used to out of the box but then again I can not compare it to my 710HS or any of the 154CM blades used by BM my major knife brand.

Having owned both the SEAL 2000 and the Ryan Plan B I cqan say there are both good knives and the steel is good. I have never had to sharpen the Plan B so I cannot tell you how well it holds an eged or how easily it is sharpended. I have sharpended the Seal 2000 and that was fairly easy and it took a good edge.

The Ryan Plan B is an awesome knife. It feels incredibly comfortable in the hand. I do wish it was available with better steel, but I guess thats what the custom version is for.:)
