Let's face it we've all bugged Ellie at one time or another wondering what's to come or when something was gonna come around. This is to help out and maybe keep everyone in the loop without 50 extra emails a week going to the Survive! inbox. If you see it change just copy and paste to help everyone be informed.

Here is the production schedule, to give you a better idea of where each GSO model is at in the production line:

GSO-5: Existing GSO-5 orders are shipping out now! With exception of black canvas and burgundy linen, these orders are mostly shipped. Once all orders have shipped we will do a final QC and inventory, then get any leftovers listed for sale.
Necker II: Sheaths are being pressed
GSO-5.1: CPM-3V blades are in our workshop and CPM-20CV are at heat treat
GSO-4.7: At production grinding
GSO-2.7: Blades are being cut from sheets of steel
Once models start production they will no longer be available for preorder. Production will begin on the remaining models in the following order:

GSO-4.1: Scheduled to start production in October.
GSO-7/7
GSO-3.5
GSO-12

I think we'll have a schedule update this friday, wont we? First Friday and all?

I believe the last one said that due to the demand for the 4.5, it will be the next in line to be put on the production schedule.

Yes we should skrap. As far as the 4.5's go I think they're gonna be the first ones after all the starters are shipped. I want to say that was the intentions anyways. I hope so cause I still gotta save up. :) I have to have that and an 8.

Dude, you texans are smart! Very good thread idea. I don't care what everyone else says, you're ok in my book,T_t :D

I really like the idea of our subforum being a central location for the best SURVIVE! information. Between facebook, instagram and here there is certain information that just can't be put everywhere all the time. Threads like this make us one step closer to unifying this information.

I was hoping I could thin out Ellie's email pile and she could get out there and sharpen up some blades to speed my order along. :p

Not bad reasoning at all :)

I like to think that by sharing information we can lighten their load.

I always look forward to first Friday updates!

I'm sure the 4.5's will be released first.... after the 6 and 10 :p

Yea we get so many questions on the schedule and when's this when's that. I can only imagine how many Ellie gets when someone could just peel there eyes from knife porn for five minutes to look around. So I thought this might help. Who knows maybe we won't have to bump it throughout the month.

So if anyone catches the changes throughout the month throw it up here and everyone will know. It'll also help new comers and random visitors.

Anyone have a rough estimate of the time between first entering production and shipping? I'm excited for me 4.1, and 7/7

I read on Facebook that Guy was hoping (not set in stone) to have the 12's out by early 2016. Anything listed before the 12 in production order should be out sooner. I know their goal is to keep moving faster in new production.

A run takes 3-6 months for all of the materials to be produced. The GSO-5.1 is looking like it will be right at the 6 month mark.

I think about three to five weeks between models, but that's just a guess on my part.

The goal is 3-5 weeks between models, and I think that is reasonable. Ideally, Guy will get a head start on sharpening while the handles and sheaths are getting made. The new models should sharpen a lot faster than the older ones. Guy is still the only one sharpening knives though

Production timelines will definitely get shorter as we move forward. We are doing things a new way starting with the GSO-5.1 run and it is going to take a few runs for everything to settle in. As we start repeating some of these models, the runs will be even faster since we won't have to setup new fixtures or wait for samples to be approved. There will still be a gap between models releasing. As mentioned up there, Guy is still the only one sharpening.

It dont matter how long it takes... They are worth the wait.

Well its first Friday ladies and gents. Time for the update on when and what will be headed our way in the near future.
