Custom Buck 110: Rivets vs No Rivets. What do you guys think.

What do you guys prefer on a custom buck 110: Rivets or No Rivets at all. personally i like the rivets just because they make the knife look more like a 110. just want to hear what some other people think.

I think it depends on what type of scales you use. On the wooden scales, I like rivets. Not so much on the bone.

I agree.
For wood I prefer rivets, but no rivets for bone, antler, horn, or mother-of-pearl.

Rivets are good with wood. I wouldn't get them for bone or stag etc. Most of the time they screw them in too much and leave you with a hole that doesn't look good IMO.

I have a Buck 55 with rivets and that looks OK. Either way, I still like the look.

For the most part I prefer rivits, but after seeing gajinoz's great shots, I am not so sure.

mostly in a custom i will go no rivets
now that said i find that i like rivets at times ...
dont like the lock bar pin showing at all
even on box store knives
feel it should be an option
would pay 2$ more to not have them..

Custom 110 with g-10 and rivets....would not look the same with out them.

Yep, depends on the scale. Something like Buff looks good either way.

Not meaning to necro this... but... what holds the scales on without rivets? Are they just glued?
