I'm giving away a copy of David Darom's book "Custom Folding Knives". It's not perfect; the binding is torn, but other than that it's mint. No tears, no dog ears, no underling, no drool marks, no pages stuck together. You get the idea...
But, it's a fantastic book, full of stuff to dream about; knife porn if you will.
And since the Sears Christmas catalog died decades ago (for those of you old enough to have had the privilege) and most mail order catalogs are full of stuff you really don't want (things have gone downhill since they took the ads for bazooka's out of the magazines), maybe this will fill that niche and (if left out where Santa can see it) actually result in someone getting something really nice this year. I figure now's the time to send it out into the world.
But you have to work for it. "I'm in" just isn't going to cut it. Because 3 lbs of high resolution pictures and writeups of stuff your daddy never told you about comes with a cost.
So, if you think this is something you need to get your hands on, you have to post a picture. It has to be of your favorite knife. One you actually own. I don't care if it's a Scagel, a CRKT, or a Jarbenza. Fixed blades, liner locks, all's fair. New, used, or anything in between, that's okay. Letter openers don't count.
I'm going to run this for 10 days. Sunday night (23 Nov) I'll pick a winner. One entry person, more than that disqualifies you. The entry number will be used with a random number generator to decide. It will ship first class, so you can make sure it's seen in time to forestall any less worthy purchases after Thanksgiving. (If you live outside the USA it may arrive late; feel free to take it out on your local officials.)
