Shawn Hatcher - an amazing knife maker with 5 year waiting lists. I am pretty sure Shawn is not making knives currently. I haven't seen any signs of him for a few years now unfortunately.
I custom ordered this knife directly from Shawn to match the Taranis i own from him, and have decided to let one go. It was one of the last knives i know Shawn worked on before exiting the scene. I've confirmed from friends and sources, at least as of last year that he's okay, but i don't think he is making knives. One of the last chances potentially to own some of his latest work. I thought i had a rare bird here that i was moving, but noticed that a kingfisher sold here literally two months ago, so i stole some of the comments about Shawn, and the knife design here. I guess it's true, lightning does strike twice sometimes.
New condition knife. I've never used/carried this one. It has been a safe queen since received.

About the knife & sheath
Kingfisher- Book matched curly two tone KOA, vintage red / brown micarta liners, and bronze pins (special order) - Hand rubbed AEB-L steel blade - OAL 7 3/4" - Blade 4" x 1/8" (strong). Shawn's got some of the best hand-rubs in the game, and it will feel like a crime to carry this knife, but the edge geometry and everything he creates is truly intended to cut. Tang is also beautifully tapered to balance the knife out - again, it's the details.
$550.00 as ordered with no sheath. Sheath was a custom order for the blade from a talented new maker, that understands simplicity and execution. Alligator cross-draw strap, that holds the blade tightly. Sheath has one spot that could use dye re-applied, but i'll give it some love with conditioner before shipping, equally stunning though and compliments the blade well.
$400.00 PPFF or +3.5% G&S for this combo
