Custom shop black oxide

Do the black oxide blades offered by the custom shop have the same flat finish as the regular production coated knives? Or are they more like the finish on the Alaskan Guide blades. I know the two are made from different types of steel. Thanks for your help.

Hard to tell unless the lighting is just right. Here is a custom shop 420hc coated blade.
