Well, it might be more beneficial for you to provide a more complete post, rather than a very obscure and superbly vague entry as your first post here.
So we can safely assume at this point that you placed an order, I'm guessing in July?
You spent $1,000, and you sent follow up emails with no response?

I find it really hard to believe that Jeff would ignore your questions via email. They do respond pretty quickly to email and immediately via a telephone call. However, if your emails were as vague as your post, I might not know how to respond either. If you live over seas (I'm guessing you do), have you checked with your local customs office? Depending on the country, they may take ownership of some items without notifying the recipient.

I would give them a call. If you ordered multiple items and if some are out of stock, its possible that they're waiting for all the items you ordered to arrive and then to send it out in one shipment. My experience with Cutleryshoppe has been great, but I can only speak for myself. Hopefully yours will turn out just as well.

Yes, I recommend giving them a call or email message too.

Maybe it was a computer glitch or something?

I understand that its hard to believe..first post especially.
Yes, i`m living overseas and English is definitely not my native language. So I prefer to read than to write.
I placed an order in December. (07 December 2013). Screenshot of my orders list.

My typical e-mail to orders-at-cutleryshoppe-dot-com :
from: Don Miguel
to: orders cutleryshoppe com
date: Fri, Dec 13, 2013 at 4:36 AM
subject: order status request - Order Number: 5****

Is everything ok?
I made 100% pre-payment for this order about week ago.
I sent couple of emails with some changes in my order.
And I dont see any movement...
do I need to worry?

Best Regards,...
I changed my Order Number with 5**** for this post only.
Is this e-mail vague? I`m trying to write as simple as possible.
I identified Order Number, my name. I sent this from e-mail registered at this shop..

There is no Tracking Number - what do I need to check at Customs? My order not shipped yet :(

I do not blame anyone.
I just want to understand what happened and is there anyone else with the same situation.

P.S. Sorry for my English and Merry Christmas to everyone!

My experience with Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe has been excellent. In your situation I would make sure all items ordered are in stock. Continue your communication with them and they will take care of you.

Jeff holds my orders until all items are in stock as well. If you can get CS on the phone that is best. It's just one guy, his name is Jeff.

I see a small part of the issue in communication. In the states we date month/day/year, but in Europe it's typically day/month/year so OP was saying no communication or shipping since December 7th.

Hope this works out for you, Cutlery Shoppe has been good to me in the past and I'd like to see them come through for you, too.

first order i ever did with cutleryshoppe was just like this. no response to email, order sitting still. i was perplexed, as the reviews were great for cs.

turns out, my emails got stuck in jeff's spam folder or never made it. one item was out of stock and was supposed to come in. once i got a hold of jeff via different email, problems were solved instantly. ordered plenty since and all good service and results. try calling him after the holidays...or using a different email. i wouldn't worry, this guy is one of the good ones, imho.

Miguel,

Those are the exact details that help in matters like this. Thanks for posting them up. Now, did you have your credit card charged? I've made large orders and discovered that my card was not used until all the items were in stock. This is a common practice for multiple stores online from what I have seen and read about others. This is the email I've used to get ahold of them:
Phone: (800) 231-1272
Phone: (208) 884-5250
Fax: (208) 884-4433
e-mail: orders@cutleryshoppe.com

Keep in mind Jeff isn't running a huge shop and might have gotten slammed with orders and was trying to get everything sent out ASAP. Since it does not appear that things have been shipped, my best suggestion would be to call at this point and ask if everything is alright.

Again, thank you for providing the complete picture, it does make a big difference. I hope things get shipped out and go smooth from here on out. Let us know what happens.

Best way to get a hold of Jeff is by phone. He runs a lean shop to keep prices down. I'm pretty sure he'll come through for you. I have place dozens of orders with him and not had a problem, other than things taking a little longer to ship than I expected.

This happens more than you might think with CS. It's hit or miss when I place an order with them as to when I will get it. Been that way for me since July 2013 at least. Seems to be more of a problem when I order Benchmades from them, if that makes any sense. Took 45 days to ship my BM 162 and I never received one of the knives they shipped, which Jeff promptly responded to once I threatened to charge back the order to my credit card. Prior to that I had sent him 3 emails with no response. Recently I ordered a BM 300SN and it took 12 days to ship. The 300 hadn't moved in 7 days so I called them to learn it was out of stock, but CS still showed it in stock on their front page. Not sure how many Jeff sold during the 12 days it was out of stock but he didn't update the site until after they finally shipped mine. Jeff also wouldn't allow a negative review of the SOG Flashback I submitted.

FYI Jeff raised the price on all Benchmade knives by $5 about 3 hours ago. Blade HQ is looking better and better all the time, unless this is Benchmades doing. :/

I've been watching CS a lot lately and his prices went up $5 on all Benchmades last night. Jeff even increased the retail prices by $5. As far as I know Benchmade hasn't increased their prices at all, just enforcing MAP.

Um hmmm... a quick search of the tracking number shows this:

Delivered
Your item was delivered in RUSSIAN FEDERATION at 4:30 pm on August 11, 2012. Additional information for this item is stored in files offline.

I have only ordered from cutlery shoppe once and the knife was on backorder for 2 moths (which is typical for spyderco) but they were pleasant to deal with and I will definitely continue buying from them. Cutlery shoppe has great prices too.
What you are experiencing probably has something to do with communication from both sides, if you continue to handle it the same way you are i'm sure everything will work out fine.

No offense intended, but that tracking number was for an order that the OP made on 7/19/12 and not the order in question. The order that he placed on 12/7/13 has no tracking number assigned in the graphic that he posted.

Wonder what the current status of his order is?

I can only report on my recent purchase from the Cutlery Shoppe:

A few days after Christmas 2013 I got the urge to get myself a new Al Mar knife. After several on-line searches I came to the conclusion the knife I wanted must have been out of stock in the U.S.A., with none of Al Mar's dealers having any expected availability date from the manufacturer. Eventually, I found 2 companies that stated they had what I wanted in stock. I'd never dealt with either company in the past, and took a chance on one.

I placed an on-line order with the Cutlery Shoppe early on Friday morning, Dec. 27th, 2013. When I checked my e-mail later in the day I found an acknowledgement of my order from Jeff. When I checked my e-mail before turning in for the night, I had another e-mail from Jeff, this time stating my order had shipped that same day. The knife was delivered to my address Monday, Dec. 30th, 2013.

Granted, this was an order for a single knife costing less than $200; and the item was shipped to a domestic address in the U.S., not overseas, but of the hundreds of orders I've placed via the internet through the years, I can't remember any company processing my order any faster. I sent an e-mail to Jeff, thanking him for taking care of my order. He took the time to reply to me with a personal note, when none was called for, within an hour or so.

I can't talk about what happens when Jeff's business gets inundated with lots of orders and his paperwork gets backed up, and the same holds true about what happens when items get backordered from the manufacturer. I can only report that I received top-notch service from Jeff and can't believe he treats any of his Customers any differently, as long as he has the power to do so.

None taken. All good.
