That is an interesting interpretation of the weapon. Most things I have read and seen suggest that the handle was a significant portion of the total length of the weapon often being longer than the blade itself. This version appears to be much like a reverse scimitar. What is it based on? Additionally, does the round handle construction lead problems in cutting? It would seem like it would index oddly without a more oblong shape.

Yes you are right, to most blades discovered research indicates a 2-handed handle

this falx is built after a recently discovered blade, here's the research sorry it's only in Romanian http://www.enciclopedia-dacica.ro/?...venind_de_la_Ursici_com_Bosorod_jud_Hunedoara

the handle is oval and they are not a problem to be used

thanks for the opinion

Well unfortunately my Romanian is a bit rusty...er non-existent but I could and did look at the pictures. Thank you for providing the link. It's a very interesting find. Were the two swords found together?
