  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I want to announce that Dan has graduated from my apprentice program. Dan's knives in the last few months have really jumped ahead. As a craftsman, that is exhilirating, and fun! As a teacher it is very gratifying also. Dylan came to this same point in his making and was graduated two years ago now in the same way.

  • Dan's convex sabergrinds are spot on nowadays.
  • His handles are elegant and comfortable, and properly fitted.
  • He knows how to heat treat steels.

Thats where I set the goal before someone starts as an apprentice here. The convex sabergrind is not easy, or common. It took me 300 knives to get it right. Dan is way ahead of the curve, and his knives show it. He had a great Bladeshow too. He is a knifemaker now, no doubt about that.

Congratulations Dan. And thanks for all the help while you were learning.

Looking good Dan, congratulations for your accomplishment and thank you for your willingness to help me along the way. Semper Fi- Ron
