Anyone out there have any Dan Peterson knives that they have used and can comment on their holding an edge/ease of sharpness? How about his overall workmanship? They certaintly look nice from the pics and one guy who I really value his opinion, states that they are good users! Thanks! Larry

Dan is one of those under rated ABS Master smiths, His work is clean and the edge holding and sharpening qualities are some of the best. He does have some background in metallurgy, how much ?????
Hope this helps, and No he's no kin to me .

Larry, I met Dan about 3 years ago at the first hammer in that I went to in Washington, Ark. He is a very knowldgeable person and is kind of on the quiet side. His knives that I have looked at were of the highest quality. I had sent him a piece of 52100 that was an experiment at the mill (they screwed up the batch) which had a carbon content of 1.37%. He was impressed with the results as I was. So from what I have gathered during my conservations with him, performance is at the top of his list of priorities. Hope this helps.
