Anyone else own a Dark Timber by Peter Kohler?

I have a tactical one coming in a couple of weeks

I just stumbled upon his work a few days ago. Really nice looking blades. I'm a sucker for a nice recurved fighter.

He just started a production line with DLT called the Grizzly but preorder is sold out. I still wanted a hand crafted one and have this one coming.

His production line is still under his brand, we just happened to get a shot at selling some of them. They're still all his models and designs but production versions available for the Honey Badger, Kodiak, and 1911 Elite.

He did work with Bark River to produce their production version of the Grizzly which was wildly popular on the first run and sold out all our spots on the second run.

Very excited for his production stuff, I met him in march and he's a super nice guy. I own one of the Bark River Grizzly's and have been really impressed with his handle design on this and his other models. I pre-ordered one of the 1911 Elite's, so December can't come soon enough!

The grizzlies are expected to be done in early December. Peter's other production models are supposed to be done lat November.

I got a Norseman, 1911 EDC, as well as a 1911 elite midtech. I LOVE Peters customs they are so sick. I'm a sucker for hand forged blades lol

If memory serves me correct there were 140(ish) of both the Honey Badger and the 1911 Elite. He's only done one run for his production/mid tech version of that model.

I wish I owned one of his knives, he is a master bladesmith and a hell of a nice guy.
Unfortunately they are out of reach for me financially..

We met him at Blade this year. That was the first time I'd heard of Peter or Dark Timber. He was super fun to talk to, and his blades are very impressive. I can't afford one of his customs right now, but I'd love to get a hold of one of the BR Grizzlies or a mid tech Honey Badger.

His next run of mid-techs is coming up fairly soon, and we have some of the BRK made Grizzlies in stock right now.

I was able to talk to him at Blade this year. An intense guy who loves what he does. His work sold out extremely quick. It was great to put a hand to his work and pick up a blade or two.
