Here are (hopefully) some pics of my new slotted CF EDC with a Mike Norris D2 damascus fighter style blade. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves as I can't do the knife justice with my remedial vocabulary. If these pictures are huge and take forever to load, please forgive me. This is my first time posting pictures.

Notice the new style thumb studs. They are sleeker than the older version and afford a better grasp with the thumb. This knife also has stainless steel liners and it locks up like a flippin' rock! This knife seems as light as a Dominator style sotted CF EDC that I recently traded for that has titanium liners. Darrel, I don't know how you accomplished this, but I'm terribly impressed!

If you are in the market for a custom, please make sure Darrel is on your (very) short list. He makes a high quality product (at very reasonable prices) and is a terrific person to boot! I've been a royal pain about this transaction and Darrel was adamant about satisfying me regarding every aspect of the deal. I feel honored to have met Darrel at last years SECKS show in Winston-Salem, NC. Thanks again, Darrel!

BTW, I do not work for Darrel

Take care,
Chris

Thanks guys. I can be wishy-washy with knives (ask Dexter or David Baker), but this one has gone off the meter as far as initial satisfaction and WOW factor goes. This thing locks up as tight as any of the Sebenzas I've owned! I'm trying to devise a plan that will convince my wife to let me put the knife on the pillow tonight! Believe it or not, I WILL be carrying this knife daily.

Later,
Chris

What a beautiful knife. Makes waiting for my MADD MAXX even harder. I'm happy that it will only be about three more weeks.

Oops. I didn't realize that a "Gallery" forum existed. Parecels, Paraclese, Parabellum, hell. Could a moderator move this to the appropriate forum if needed?

Thanks Dexter.

Chris

Damn, that is one fine looking knife. Glad to hear you'll be carrying it, I'll have to start carrying mine around more often. Enjoy!

You could put nacho cheese sauce on it...

CPR, this is a perfectly appropriate forum for showing off beautiful knives. I can't figure out why you think this thread needs to be in the gallery.

I like this thread and your knife the way it is. Enjoy that one! Carrying and using custom knives pay dividends far greater than keeping them in a safe like they were money or something.

Kelly,

That Sig sure is nice...Seriously though, I'm keepin' this one!

Para(celcus),

Thanks for the post. Dexter's gonna get a talkin' to this weekend

BTW, just got back from Flying Tigers, Crouching Black Sheep and I think I embarrassed myself by shadow boxing Chow Yun Fat with the new Ralph

Pretty good movie, though.

Chris

They are beautiful pics of a beautiful knife. And they are BIG pictures which load slowly. I suggest you go to Gus Kalansis' Custom Knife Forum, and learn how to post thumbnails, which load much faster, and can be clicked on by a viewer so that they expand into the full sized pic.

I learned how to do it, and it is not hard.

Walt

Awesome blade Chris! Looking forward to seeing it in person this weekend, if you haven't worn the thing out by then practice flicking
