I asked this question on Facebook but got not reply so thought I would ask it here as I imagine the staff of Busse frequent hee more than they do Facebook.

Was wondering how Norman Reedus has ended up using a Busse knife? Did he already own it? Did AMC approach you and ask if they could use one of your knifes? Did you approach them and ask if they wanted to use one?

Just wondering.

Thanks for your time.

(Oh and I have order a TGLB so I will stop harassing everyone on all the different forums to trade one with me ha ha. CAN'T WAIT!!!)

They Googled " best knife company in the universe" and Links to Busse knives took up the first page.

I've read a few times here that Jerry Busse has lots of ties in Hollywood, but I don't know any of the specifics.

Actually, isn't the knife a standard TG?

Seems like I've seen pics of both though, but the first season I remember it just being a standard

The knife was definitely an original TG in the first 2 seasons as the TGLB wasn't out at the time. This season I think it's still an original, but Jerry did say the prop department does have some TGLB's on set.

Just saw a TGLB on season 2 of Man, Woman, Wild too.

I believe Tops knives were always used on this show before.

We were approached by the studio and we gave them the Team Gemini LB. The production team was probably in charge of who carries what weapon. It just so happens Norman Reedus (the most awesome guy ever) was given our knife!

Ha!

I'd always thought it was his personal knife. I was planning on calling that talking dead show when he's on it to find out...

Darryl is my favorite character (Michonne's fighting style is my favorite, but Darryl is my overall favorite), loved NR in Boondock Saints, too, but I love listening to the guy that plays Rick when he's doing interviews and he's all British :) He does a good southern accent, a little *too* good sometimes IMO, but I'd never think he wasn't American.

I did inform Norman that it is the most badass knife on the show by far. He didn't seem to know much about it.

spoiler, but he throws it in the latest episode... like this:

The knife used in the first 2 seasons (and in some parts of season 3) was an original TG an was most likely Black/Tan G10 and Double Cut finish. There are multiple knives including stunt knives and some TGLB's on set. Closest color combo you can get is black/tan G10 with Competition finish on the TGLB.
