Just wondering if anyone could help me date this worker.

According to SpyderWiki it is after 1983 as it has the 3 screw clip and serrated edge. However, it doesn't have the beveled handles or a thicker slab on the clip side which are noted as features of the post 1983 Worker.

Much appreciated guys.

Matt

That's funny! I thought this post was going to be someone bragging that they are going out with a lady or gentleman employed by Spyderco. Sorry, I'm not able to help you with the age of your Spyderco Worker knife.
I must admit it is charming the pants off me...

Same here. I could just imagine dating a Spyderco worker who would be getting a "large" employee discount. Sounds like a match made in Heaven...(Golden?)

Uunh....nice knife!

Yep, me too. Imagined a hot girl at a Spyderco factory...

I thought this was going to be one of those hight school get-a-prom-date videos.

I was thinking the same thing...someone got a dream gal who works for Spyderco. So disappointed.

That is a tough one. We need some experts to chime in. Perhaps it is a transition model from 1982 into 1983? That 3 screw clip has me confused, but as you note, the handle is not beveled. Yet, the swedge seems sharpened.

Yeh I was thinking it might be some weird transition model as well. I can confirm that the swedge is sharpened.

You have a lot of those oldies don't you yablanowitz? Isn't it you that has that fairly comprehensive collection of police models?

Yeah, I have a few of the old slab sided SS models. Worker, Mariner, Police, maybe something else as well. I don't know if I'd call my Police collection comprehensive, I don't have a single combo edge in the bunch. And there are only a couple dozen of them.
