DBK reviews Survive Knives GSO 5.1 Magnacut

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever started watching. I quit at the failed attempt to karate-kick the tree. Until this knife company starts meeting orders and returning goods for cash, they don’t deserve free pub.

I didn't know Survive was still having issues with production. I haven't been following. Are they not refunding money if someone wanted to stop waiting?

Anyone else see this? Pretty entertaining

Dutch Bushcraft Knives are just some young guys living their best life, turning their love of knives and bushcraft into steady employment and income. They're big on the entertainment side, but do testing and knife destruction/durability tests as well. They do know their way around knives, even though they spend a lot of time goofing off.

Nah. Dudes from 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2021, and this year are still waiting for knives while these YouBoobers get one to play with. These coked up "influencer" squirrels and their videos are boring.

I used to watch alot of DBK, but (like 99% of most YouTubers out there) now they do their content for money and fame. I'll be honest, I'm extremely disappointed in them. But hey, they were honest in their earlier videos stating they are out to make it big and get rich.

Also, I find it irrational for them to critique Survival Lily's knife (whom I do not endorse nor like in particular) when the DBK knife cost an arm and a leg.

I only watch the old DBK episodes...they feel more "pure". Same with AVGN lol.

My thoughts :)

They come off like complete idiots, like most of them who are doing it because they think they can get rich off it. Why anyone should be able to get rich off being an ‘influencer’ is beyond me; chances are if you feel it necessary to influence people in such a way, you’re not somebody I want to be influenced by, but that’s for another thread. The ones who throw up vids to actually be informative and helpful are usually ok, though there are some who should never, ever be allowed anywhere near a camera, no matter what their intentions are.

I started watching DBK when I first got into knives a few months ago. Since then i've disagreed on more than a few points they've brought up. And the general antics aren't for me.
Still, i've watched my fair share.

They went full clown-mode some time ago. Guess they know their target audience - which is not me anymore. No big deal, plenty of info on pretty much anything out there these days.

These are Survive's own numbers. It should be noted that last December they stated all old orders would be done in a month. Then in July, they said 2 weeks all old orders would ship out.

If you decide to buy a knife from them, you now know the risks.

I have the GSO-5 from 2013. Also, placed two new orders recently. I hope this waiting list thing isn't true. 😕
