I was Looking at the Nova voyager dvr drill press and I saw that they are working on a metal version called the vulcan.

It can run off of 110 or 220
From the Manufacturer:
The NOVA Vulcan is an exciting new class of machine that has all of the versatile features of a metal drilling machine but with additional capabilities of a milling machine, in one cost effective hybrid package. The NOVA Vulcan is designed to handle all of the normal metal working tasks but also has the ability to mill parts, as required. Note: additional accessory compound table is required. This is a major step up from conventional drill presses that can handle heavy drilling but not milling. Or a milling machine that can handle milling but not heavy duty drilling.
Designed specifically for metal working, with a stable and strong 3MT Spindle, and ER32 Collet System for maximum holding flexibility. The vibration free operation delivers smooth accuracy and the coolant feed delivers better finish and longer tool life. The metal working table provides slots for clamping and metal working accessories and a trough for coolant.
The NOVA DVR range of machines are the only intelligent machines on the market using Adaptive Control™ Software. With its 1.75HP/2HP high torque motor, exceptional structural strength and smart design, the NOVA Vulcan has the power and capacity to handle a wide variety of projects with ease. NOVA Vulcan DVR delivers incredible smoothness. With no belts to cause vibration, a computer that automatically adjusts performance and solid cast iron construction, the Vulcan is one smooth & quiet operator. This delivers the ability to drill faster and more efficiently. Plug n’ Play Easy to use, push button electronic variable speed with forward and reverse. Smart computer controlled motor only draws as much power as it needs for the project being worked on. The DVR motor can save up to 50% energy and emissions over conventional motors.
I thought this may be very useful for those not looking to spend thousands on separate mill and drill press. Not sure when they plan on getting it to market.
