Just a heads up. I have enough points I might buy one myself.

Wow, another bargain cave score! I like the way Cabela's charges shipping by dollar amount of the sale too. You could have two of these delivered for under $25! :)

I just bought mine. It was $7.88 not $9.88. Sorry for the error.

I do not like serrated edges but for under 8 bucks I couldn't pass it up. I was ordering a bunch of other stuff so the shipping wasn't a big deal.

I found out the difference in price.

If you go in under bargain cave and then pick a category like camping and find it under there it lists as $9.88.

If you go to the bargain cave and look under hot deals it lists as $7.88.

I have found similar things on Cabela's site. Sometimes if you look at the same item under member deals and then in the bargain cave or in the regular area the member deals can be more expensive.

I got a couple buck's from that sale too.Unfourtunately,I got there pretty late & most where sold out. Here's the two I got...
BUCK APPROACH KNIFE SPECIAL BUY ORANGE @ $12.99 each &
BUCK MANTIS SPECIAL BUY MANTIS SKELETON SERR @ $9.99 each
I really wanted one of those Mayo's,but they were the first to go.

Went for the Ghostrider and the Mantis for under $25 incl shipping. Thanks for the info.

Got 2 Ghostrider's for $16 and change--which included sales tax----chose the ship to store option to the store by me---so got free shipping.

Just got mine from UPS.

It is a bit bigger than my Kershaw Vapor. The Vapor has been my EDC.

It is tip up. The Vapor is tip down. I will have to get used to it.

The G10 is textured nice and is very grippy. It doesn't slide in and out of the pocket as easily as the smooth sided Vapor.

It is not as smooth in the edges as the Vapor.

It seems pretty sharp out of the box. It is sharper than the Vapor.

It is a liner lock. The Vapor is a frame lock. It seems like there isn't a lot of meat in the engagement between the lock and the blade. The Vapor has a bit more area of the lock contacting the rear of the blade.

The blade deploys faster out of the box compared to the Vapor.

Seems real nice for less than $8. The Vapor was $19 and change from Walmart. Yes I am a bit of a miser.

Got the two today.
Good Buck deal for the bucks.

One has stripped torx screw head and mark in the G-10 scale where the dude that put it in must've had one too many Tsingtao Chinese beers for lunch.
But I'm not gonna send it back or anything...good give a way gifts.

What's the deal with the traingle shaped lump of G-10 on the handle? Look at the pic at the start of this thread...has three torx screws in it but is molded to the handle and seems to have no function other than looks. Would've been cool to have pre-drilled holes on that side to switch the side of the clip.

Cool lanyard hole and overall not too shabby at all for $10. :)

It only seems to serve to make the knife thicker.

The screws on mine seem to be okay except for one that is not recessed below the scale all the way. It is just a tiny bit above flush.

I agree not bad for the price. It looks like they are no longer there. I looked around and it was a great deal. What is the deal with that place and the Bucks on clearance? They always have a few.

I have noticed that it wants to open when removing the knife from my pocket. Almost does a wave. The Vapor had a stronger ball detent for keeping the blade closed.

The Kershaw Vapor seemed more pocket friendly. The clip on the Ghost Rider seems to hold onto the pocket better than the Kershaw. It has real good retention. The Kershaw slid into and out of the pocket much easier due to the smooth metal sides. the textured G10 along with the tighter clip drag on the pocket.

Well, last night I almost had a pillockian moment (again).

My son and his girl showed up to visit. I reached down to the bottom shelf of my desk and picked up a little Buck box and tossed it to my son. Said, "here ya go".

It was kinda of dark in the room (watching American Idol...gotta have the right light). Then I said to his girl, ya know, you should have a knife in your truck for seat belt cutting or whatever. So, I reached down and got another box.

Noticed that when I tossed that one across the room that the box I just tossed her was a bit different in size and weight than the one I just gave my son.

I said to my boy, "hey throw that one back to me". Glad I noticed.

Had tossed him the 882 ATS-34 Plain Edge instead of the Ghost Rider.

Needless to say, I then tossed him the other Ghost Rider instead.

He can have the 882PE when I croak.

They like their new Bucks.

Close call. I wish I had bought a couple more. I got a free knife with a purchase from Duluth Trading. I used it as a present for my b-i-l.

I used mine last night to split some bedding plants. I am still unsure about the partially serrated edge but it did a good job with that light task.

I tied up a monkeys fist with a coil knot out of some desert camo 550 cord for it. The fellow who sits next to me saw it and I told him about lanyards and knots. I sent him a bunch of links. The next day he brought in a couple of black 550 layards for me.

He went out and bought a 400 yard spool of black 550 from the store that I buy my cord from. They told him they do not sell it by the yard. They didn't tell him they have 100 and 50 yard packages of the stuff.

I traded him some coyote brown and camo for some black. A black lanyard or a couote and black will look much nicer with the Ghost Rider than the desert camo.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought a Summit and short approach. One will be a gift and the other get clipped to my pack. Not bad for $26.
