I broke down and did a couple simple mods to my Delica 4 FFG. The first was to convex the edge on water stones (doesn't show well in the photo). Where it was a sharp knife before, it now seems slightly sharper. And actually holds an edge a little longer than the stock V edge. Next was to polish up that old scuffed black pocket clip. That turned out very well. To me it looks better now than it did originally. Somehow that bright silver clip just looks better. The question is...what's next? A set of custom scales?

Whats the point in the light weight parts kit? (Sounds like a dumb question i guess) Is that to make the full stainless model lighter or does it also work on the frn models?

It's to replace parts that wear/damage/bend on the FRN models. I had to do it to fix my endura's backspacer lock rocking

I'd say stonewash the clip or wave the blade. G10 scales would be hard to do and match all the parts up correctly

I have a Delica 4 with custom G10 scales and I really enjoy it but the screws were hard to do by the maker of the scales. It looks good. A stonewashed blade would look good though and trying scales might be fun and interesting to see what you come up with.
