What's the difference between Geno Denning's Model B and his GM model? They seem identical to me but I have only seen them in pictures. Thanks, Bob

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but if you strike out here (not likely

), you might want to try posting the same question on Les Robertson's forum (or even just sending him an email). He handles several Denning blades and I'm sure he could give you the right answer.

Terrill,

I recognize that one, its his "chute knife" - and a pretty one at that

. Kelly picked up a kudu horn handled chute knife from Geno last weekend also.

"chute" is short for parachute. Going skydiving Terrill ???

I have both the GM model with guard and a guardless B model. The GM is beefier than the B model. Both are approximately the same length. The GM is cut from 1.25 inch barstock and the B is cut from 1.125 stock (if I remember correctly). Both are excellent. If I get a chance I will post a picture.

Mark, you're on the right track but mine is an inch longer than his normal "chute". I was at the Blade Show picking up one of the chute knives for photographs when I voice a desire for that style only longer. As luck would have it, he had a blade cutout that was just the right size. If any of you get a chance to get one of his knives, grab it! They have to be one of the best values around.

Terrill,

Having jumped out of a perfectly good airplane (military fashion, not that sissy sport parachuting <G>).

I can tell you, leaving the plane the world becomes very quite and it can be quite enjoyable.

However, gravity is a b*tch. Ive found that it's not the falling, it's that sudden stop!

I'm glad you saw that post about me buying your knives to give to my brothers, and being overcome by the desire to keep such 'perfect' knives. No, I don't think my brothers realize what a greedy bastid I am. Maybe I will just have to place a new order with you for another pair so I can honor my committment to myself. It makes me feel really bad to love a couple of knives more than I love my brothers

They are impecabble GenO. They are a great value. I stole them from Les at the Chesapeake show when he wasn't paying attention to how much they were worth

I have a 4 1/8 long (#477) and 3 1/2 inch long (#481) drop point knives in what Les said was CPM154 with stag scales. The smaller is just under 15/16 inches wide at the guard. The longer one is 13/16 inches wide at the guard. Barstock would be 1.25 inch for the smaller knife and 1.125 inch for the longer one.

Here is a poor photo of the perfectly pretty pair:

It looks like the smaller one is a GM (what does that mean?) model. The longer appears similar to what Les is calling your new boot knife. I dunno. I think they are just an outstanding pair of small hunters. Similar in size, but the slightly different blade shapes set them apart for different tasks.

Keep up the fine fine work. Looking SHARP!

Got to get in the shop before my head starts swelling, yall got to stop this before the cavelady tapes my fingers together. Thanks GenO
