Terrible loss for his family and the community. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I just saw this and was gobsmacked. Derrick was an asset to the hobby and the community, and he seemed like a genuinely good dude.
 
Oh how horrible. Love and prayers for his family. Dude had such a great passion for knives
 
Wow, that is terrible news. I had a few interactions with him online and he seemed like a great guy.

If so I am so sorry. I had been following news of the move to Chattanooga and was so looking forward to being able to to visit because that is less than 2 hrs from me.
I ordered one knife from knives ship free and they are a top notch outfit.
This is shocking news and my prayers and condolences go out to the family.
Derrick seemed to be a real stand up guy and we need more like him.
I know he is in a better place but he will be greatly missed.
Again I am so sorry for your loss.
