Desperados Waiting for a Train

The reason I dont mill the slot out is that I don't have an end mill small enough to match our steel thickness (.10") so I am drilling two .093" holes and cutting the slot with a jeweler's saw. The mill work is to relieve the backside so I don't have to fit the entire thickness. (Mack will read something dirty into that last sentence!). The slot is cut and fit to the individual tangs with a file. Then the face will be peened to fight tight, the surface polished, and then soldered on.

Blah blah blah, here knife makey picktures.

That's the best part, you guys know exactly where your knife is at.

Lightning McQueen pulled into the pit with a broken spoiler, a little epoxy and he'll be chasing the cat again in no time.
