Dewalt or Milwaukee?

I’ve had Dewalts for years and love them. I own every 20v vmax dewalt made. I’m now transitioning to Milwaukee only because they make many more automotive type cordless tools like cordless ratchets, stubby impacts etc. so which do you prefer? My cordless Dewalt angle grinder just might be my most used tool.. well, my Milwaukee 3/8” ratchet is very well used, too. I drive a 6.0 super duty and my son a 7.3 super duty, so they’re wrenched on often.

I've had DeWalt, Makita and Milwaukee over the years. Currently I'm all Milwaukee and extremely happy with their performance. Drill, hammer drill, impact driver, sawzall, circular saw, angle grinder and vacuum cleaner.

The high capacity batteries are a little salty, but well worth it for the improved performance.

Milwaukee, love the quality, variety and innovation. The warranty is awesome.

The 12v Platform is great

I've got all kinds of Dewalt cordless tools (older 18v stuff) and have always felt that dewalt was over rated. Every time I use a millwauke or mikita I'm envious in their smaller size and ergonomics.

I'm just too committed to switch unless I opt to start replacing with more updated stuff. With 25 or so cordless 18v dewalt tools, I hate the idea of changing and having more batteries and chargers lying around.

Just a though, does Rigid still offer lifetime batter replacement? That is a game changer in my mind.

Rigid still does but it’s a slight pain in the ass, besides their tools are weak. I started with rigid cause of the warranty, went to dewalt because the rigid lacked the power. Now I’m all Milwaukee because they’ve started to make specific tools for linework and have made engineering tweaks to existing power tools so they don’t short out on live high voltage phases; which is huge because it sucks having your impact, drill, or whatever cut out on you in the middle of a task.

Milwaukee for me. They seem to be dominating in most areas battery/selection/new products.

I have the radio and a bunch of the fuel tools and a leaf blower. I've been contemplating getting the weed wacker, but it seemed overly large (for my small property) when I tried it out in the store.

I been a Milwaukee Man about 45 years. Aside from their 12V Holeshooter in 1978, Basically skipped their early generations of cordless and transitioning to disposable tools.
Now days their stuff is still disposable but very good, Basically equal to DeWalt or anybody else.
It comes down to personal ergonomics. I never liked Dewalt for that reason. They work great but feel clunky to my hand.

Dewalt used to be much better than it is today. Milwaukee always has been better, IMHO.
