Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

A delightfully sharp old piece of Hammer Brand scrap, it slid through the cardboard with no friction at all.

The thin Sheepsfoot blade made short work of the zip ties, cardboard and plast pkging. Even better than my kershaw leek, and felt less dangerous to me. The leek with it's super pointy blade made me nervous.

I cut this giant 14 foot tall weed down and cut it up to little pieces, does that count? I used the JD Ellis Lanny's Clip I won. It worked really well, nice part was I was wearin' sweats and the knife although large and hand filling is super light, I need to throw it on the scale but I bet it couldn't be more than a couple of ozs. So it didn't pull on the sweats like a even a Sebenza would.

Ted: Do you mean you "won" the knife, or You won against the weed? :D

Sheepsfoot. Perfect for that kind of thing! Speedy recovery sir!

Been working with my wife to cover most of the front yard in weed cloth, then cover it with "gorilla hair mulch". A Buck 301 has been kept busy cutting the heavy cloth, opening boxes, and opening bags.

The little wrench sat in a canvas tool roll over the winter, and was immobilized with rust. A soak with PB Blaster loosened it, but the action was still balky. I used the punch on the Electrician to scrape the sliding surfaces smooth. The wrench works pretty well now.

IMG_0065.JPG went to a 13 year old softball tournament in Marion Illinois this weekend. Picked pieces of cantaloupe and watermelon out of containers with my pen blade. Ended up being a mini family reunion environment. I am really enjoying children more and more. May end up adopting one of those little bastards before it's all over with

Marion Illinois, I've got family right near there in Harrisburg, neat! My Case CV medium chestnut bone stockman helped take care of some troublesome roots.

Case Peanut CV took care of an apple for me. The day is long and there is more for the 'Nut to do.
