Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Used my Forum 301 to trim some plastic flashing on an arrow case, after drilling four mounting holes.

This is my "beater" for chores around the house. I used it to cut away caulk around the tub and shower, and beginning tomorrow will be on paint duty.

Just a light workout today. Peeled granny Smith apples and finely chopped with my beloved Grohmann #2 Trout/Bird. Made traditional Dutch donuts (Ollie Bollen) for New Year's celebration, like my ancestors did. This was my grandfather's recipe. People made huge batches, gorged, visited each other and gorged on each other's donuts, too. They all buy them now in Holland, I don't mind making them.

Finished product after deep fry. Popcorn bowl eventually filled, or, 1/4 of the full recipe.

Those look delicious!

My order of Yaggi Wine Cured Swiss cheese came the other day. The sellers were not at all happy with their current batch; it was molding over soon after opening, and the holes were kind of deformed, didn’t look right. They only agreed to send it if I promised to eat it right away. My son had some buddies over, so I took it there and we ate it with some black pepper and a little bit of Irish whisky.

My newish Russell Sheep Skinner was selected to do the slicing. You can’t see much of the knife because this photo was about the cheese; including it here was a mere afterthought.
