Last purchase of the year, stuck between Knafs Lander 2 and Kershaw Bel Air.

Any pros or cons appreciated.

Bel Air, Magnacut steel, American made, aluminum handles or carbon fiber, IMO, better looking blade, I like the reverse tanto.
Looks like the Bel Air has a longer blade. Some of my pants have a deeper pocket watch pocket and it fits well in it.
I’ve got a Bel Air and am probably bias since I like Kershaw.

Ended up with the Lander..... And so glad I did! Guys this knife is great, just fricking fantastic. Materials and fit and finish are perfect. The decision really came down to materials and pocket clips. I love and wanted another micarta folder, and just wanted a really fun knife. The clutch lock is dialed in perfect with no lock stick.

It's just what a simple pocket knife should be. Very excited to carry and use it.

The one knock against the Kershaw was the pocket clip. It just seemed like it would seat the knife way too deep for my liking. I couldn't get over it, deep carry is just not for me.

Materials?

The Kershaw has better steel and carbon fiber. plus it isn’t made in China so we actually can believe the manufacturers claimed steel.

Citing materials when you passed on the MagnaCut blade....hmmmm...alrighty then! 🤔

Enjoy!

Fair, but I have tons of carbon fiber and aluminum knives, I really like the look and feel of micarta. Kizer has been shown good heat treat, but we'll see. I really just wanted a fun knife right at the 150 dollar mark. And really it seems small detail but the deep carry pocket clip i just couldn't see myself enjoying to carry the Bel Air.

Hahaha! I know, magnacut I have a few of, great steel but nothing noticably different that I've been able to tell vs s35v or the like. It was really the micarta first, steel choice second. I could have forgiven a lot but the Kershaw had such a deep carry that the clip ended up deciding in the end.

Late to the party but I'm posting only to back these dudes up and show love to the Bel Air. Kershaw really nailed this one and the design, action, size, etc are damn neat perfect. And I own a few different versions.

Excellent knife at an excellent price.
