Disappointed once again by Survive!. S!K issues are getting old.

It's good to see you checking in and hopefully you will be very satisfied with the actual knife which you've been waiting on despite the procedural kerfuffle. Hopefully you will be able to close out this thread (or request to have it closed) after your satisfaction with the merchandise because these kind of threads just tend to attract trolls after they serve their intended purpose. What a lot of trolls miss to comprehend is that Survive! still produces one of the finest USA made knives in the price range it is at. Unlike some of the other makes which have been mentioned on the Survive! subforum, they do not use Chinese steel or products originating from overseas. While they definitely do suffer from both managerial and procedural aspects in their business, some self inflicted and some due to optimistic aspirations, their final products have accumulated a fine group of people, some of whom I have had the pleasure of befriending right on here

To speak for myself, the current pace of Survive! does not work for me because I am both impatient and impulsive. That said, whatever I had bought from them as Factory 2nds were delivered to me a lot sooner than the frustration some people have had experienced plus all the preorders which were cancelled by me, were refunded without any hassle in a timely manner, again unlike some others had reported. Perhaps I was more fortunate than some because my requests were handled at a time when the Co was not in a pinch as much as they seemed to have been when they were hit with a brunt of bad publicity ensuing more massive refund requests. I have no ill will toward Survive! and I will be back again, if they will have me as a client, to purchase some of their knives once they can make their products more readily available. If not, I do not have a problem to pay an acceptable (to me) premium to someone who decides to sell their new model S!Ks on the secondary market.

Casino, the last I heard they were only blacklisting people that filed a credit card or paypal dispute.
If you just asked for a refund and let them process it themselves I think that you can place an order in the future.
There is a 10% restock fee discounted from any refunds going forward.

All that blabber and you're getting your knife anyway. you're going to hold that knife and think what a brat you've been just to get noticed by S!k. they probably put your order in front of the line just so you can stop whining. You're probably the most hypocritical S!k fan i know.

Troll much?
Your opinion of someone doesn't belong here.

He has a point, though...
I think if we are going to tolerate negativity, then we also have to tolerate negativity about negativity.

The OP's post is trolling as well buddy, I'm just calling him out. "opinion" is subjective that's why it's called opinion.

I'm going to keep calling out those M/F's who whines and whines about why their knives hasn't shipped yet. They agreed with the initial terms and agreements and they're acting like babies because they haven't received their knives. Yeah Guy Seiferd misleads people on timeframes, that is why they are happy to issue refunds. The problem with some people here is they whine, asks for a refund, and whine some more.

Astounding.

I cannot understand how ANYONE could POSSIBLY read OP'd post and think he doesn't have a legitimate gripe. It seriously baffles me.

People are actually attacking his character as well.

Reading these S!K concern threads are like wandering into a parallel universe.

When I see reasonable knife loving people bicker like this, working themselves up to go nuclear on one another, I really wish that my last paramour with those big bolted ons was still in the are so I could take refuge instead in that alternative Universe!

How the hell is he trolling?
He opened a thread to rightfully air his grievances and now he's happy that his knife shipped.
Pissing on him for doing either of those things is BS.

i am fortunate enough to know Mr. Hale personally.
He is a stand up Honorable Man with the Highest Integrity.
Again... Thank you Mr. Hale for this Post.

You don't see a difference between Hale venting a concern and you attacking him personally?

There are those people who did not read the fine print before dropping a bunch of money, but if you read Hale's posts, you'd see this isn't that type of case.

I've held my tongue quite a bit in the last few months and it became easier when it was pointed out that if you don't like reading what goes on in these threads, then don't read them.

I'd much rather see threads and posts about customers enjoying their knives, but until S!K is caught up, I don't think these types of concern threads will go away.

I actually find these type of threads interesting and entertaining. It's like watching "Days of our lives". People like Ronnie (Halestorm) is a nuisance and 7 out of 10 of those people sells their knives at a higher cost once they get them. Now who's the real douche? This thread should be closed since Halestrom is getting his knife and if there's one thing I learned from the OP is that if you whine enough for S!k to notice, they will put your knife in front of everyone else so you can STHU.

Halestorm has been pretty vocal for a matter of months. If they were going to give him special treatment I think they would have done it in 2016.

Being entertained by others' frustrations? Name calling? That's not what this subforum is about.

Please listen up!

This is a manufacturer forum, so BFC moderators tend to defer to the forum mods. Unfortunately, some members contribute nothing much but insults -- trolling -- against other members. This is a serious problem for Bladeforums as a whole.

I will step back if a Survive! moderator insists. Otherwise, we are going to lose some trolls. This example is one of them, a post which deliberately insults another member.

Straighten up and fly right.

You are absolutely correct in the timeline you have presented regarding the H.S. issues he had raised on here since. I don't believe that Survive! gave him any preferential treatment, although I would also totally understand the frustration of some buyers if that was the case. Hale came in with proof of his correspondences and the responses from Survive! which again culminated in missed deadlines or delivery promises. Strong arming Survive! for preferential treatment would be absolutely asinine and we have seen such nefarious practices by some in the past who have sniffed their way onto here to cause havoc. Again FWIW, I do not believe that was Hale's intent. He wanted his knife NOT a refund, Guy showed up (he didn't need to but it must have been very encouraging to say the least) and cleared the air AND seems that his GSO-2.7 is well on its way to its rightful owner. Better later than never!
