I have a Leatherman Super Tool. Had it for sometime. And i wonder how can i disassemble it so that i can clean it and oil it? Or can it be disassemble at all? I am also thinking about getting a Wave and can it be disassemble?

1. Open tools
2. spray down with WD-40
3. wipe off with rag/q-tips in tight places
4. enjoy!

I try it before... but i don't like the oily feeling afterward... and when the oil is half dry or dry it becomes sticky and collects sand and dust... So i figure i want to disassemble it and clean it individually will be better... and might want to loosen it a bit cos some tool are too tight.

Then take into the shower with you....then rub it down with mineral oil...
little oily feeling is no big deal....

I think Leatherman multitools are not intended to be disassembled by users. That's why they at Leatherman use screws with safe screw head that cannot be loosened with any ordinary tools on the market. The screws are factory tightened with special tools with torque gauge. That's only my opinion.
