District 9 Storm
This knife was a huge surprise and made me think twice about my preconceptions about Chinese manufacturing. This District 9 Storm (manufactured by Reate, but not quite the same as the Reate D9-A) flips easily with perfect detent and solid lockup. Lock-up sounds like you're racking a shotgun and blade is unmovable once locked. It has a steel lockbar insert and, unlike the Reate branded versions, a functioning Roto-block mechanism. I have carried it on several occasions and taken it apart twice to clean the ceramic bearings, but the tumble finish on the titanium makes it impossible to find incidental scratches, if there are any. I cannot find any marring on the S35VN blade. Still has factory edge, though not insanely sharp. This one is numbered 103 out of 180. The only flaw I can find: the black anodized YFS hex bolts seem to have very little anodization inside the heads, so there is a small amount of rust visible in the bottom of some of the hex slots on the bolts.

If you like flippers and big slabs of titanium, this is unequivocally the best value out there. You would think you are sacrificing something important at this price, but I assure you, you are not.

Kingdom Armory Mini Samaritan, version 1, just back from the maker, Dave Rydbom. He fixed the pivot issue inherent to this version and re-anodized everything bronze. He also anodized the pocket clip, making this a somewhat unique configuration. Lockup is solid, action is smooth and it has a nearly fresh edge from the maker. I carried it for 2 days after I got it back and did some very light cutting. One miniscule snail trail visible (maybe?) in first pic. Scuffs on logo side of blade from previous owner. Otherwise, looks and feels minty. Fantastic knife and I expect to regret selling it.

$10 price drop on District 9 Storm. I wish I could better convey the absurdly high quality/price ratio of this knife, but you just have to hold it. I have had inferior knives that cost more than twice as much.
