Pulling up tent stakes hasn't really been a problem with me, but others may have some difficulty. I took 16" of 3mm static cord and formed a loop with it; 3mm cord fits the notch of many modern tent (Y and V) stakes and gives you a loop you can fit your whole hand inside to help you pull up the stakes. It weighs 1.8 grams and goes inside the peg bag. Use a bright colour such as the red I used.

Alternatively, you could put the same cord through your tent peg bag but make it a bit longer and use it that way; this may put some stress and wear on the bag however.

Note: some brands of V and Y tent stakes have either a hole (to which you add your own cord) or a hole and cord to help with pulling out the stake but these are long enough for only 1 or 2 fingers. If you carry a SAK with the parcel hook in the middle you can use this as a fuller grip peg puller for these pegs.

I've used Cordage to help pull stakes from the grown, works pretty good.

That's a great idea, and here's a variation.

Put a loop on each end. Tighten one end's loop around tent stake, and put other loop around a sturdy stick (maybe broom handle sized) while placing the cord from the stick between fingers. This provides more for the hand to grasp.

You can also use the same method with a hiking stick and use it's leverage against the ground to pull them out.

Use what you already carry or something already there to do the work instead of carrying more "new/nifty/costly/heavy tools" with fewer uses.
