Do not buy knives there!!!

I have ordered knives from a web called " Discount Knives" but I had waited for 4 months and I had sent E-mail several times, no any respond from the company. In the final I have to cancel the payment losts $ 25. ****!! " Discount Knives " is the worstest on line order I have ever seen, do not buy stuff from them, they may rip you off!!!
 
...and i ordered some stuff from tripleaughtdesign and got no response too. nothing. realy nothing. they dont even charged my credit card, so no money lost there but it sucks too, especialy because i heard only good stuff about them. but maybe i'm not important enough or my order was not that big, who knows and i dont care any longer about them

I don't know much about Discount Knives, except I've heard a lot of good and bad things about them. Blademan, have you emailed Patrick at Triple Aught? I've found him to be very involved. Perhaps your order did not go through...a little follow up isn't too much to ask for.

i get an order confirmation with order number a total price and that i get mail when my order will be shiped, yeah i know its probably some of this autoresponder messages, but if i get an autorespond i assume that my order get through. maybe i drop him a quick mail.

Are you referring to www.discountknives.com or some other website? I saw an ad in a recent knife mag (I don't remember which one) for www.discountknifeoutlet.com or some-such.

I ask because I JUST completed a transaction with Brian and discountknives.com and it went extremely well. I ordered on Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday. No problems or delays.

There have been other posts here in the past about discount knives but they seem to be hot or cold (nothing in between.) That's what makes me believe that there may be more than one company being discussed here.

sorry we did not get back to you. we never received an order from you. we have many customers in austria. for a few months between nov and jan our webhosting company switched our server 3-4 times and we lost about 20 shopping cart orders. yours may have been one of them. at any rate if you still feel,

"...i'm not important enough or my order was not that big, who knows and i dont care any longer about them...."

this way, we are sorry you do. losing your order thru the maze of cyberspace or even an "analog snafu", was certainly not meant for you to be hurt personally.

I have had dealings with both parties in question and everything went extremely well.
In fact, I've ordered over 20 knives from Brian at Discount Knives and always got less than a week turnaround with exceptional prices.
I think I have ordered from Pat/Triple Aught Design. In any event, I know him and trust him. He sure has tried to get hard-to-find stuff and knows his products well.
There obviously is a hitch or web-flaw here as both maintain large inventories and have extensive web sites.
I just can't believe they would go through all this trouble in a very competitive environment and drop the ball on opportunity.
Please try them again. I bet you'll be happy.

Until Erlkonig clarifies which exact Discount Knives that he had this terrible experience with it is difficult to comment about other than pure speculation. This is the second recent post where a person signed on as a new member to complain about this mysterious Discount Knives. Now the last new member (Smoky) to do this has never posted again and never clarified the situation. Would Mr. Erlkonig please clarify an exact URL, telephone number or mailing address and explain how you lost $25.00.
Inquiring minds would like to know.

We have searched our records and cannot find an order from Erlkonig (ossokc@yahoo.com).

If he will e-mail us giving us the details we will be happy to make things right.
