Do quality leather belts exist anymore?

I am in need of a new leather belt. Plain silver-colored buckle. Black leather, and built to last. The last several belts have all been garbage and eventually look like trash. I have been looking online but reviews for belts as top end as Filson seem to indicate that long-lasting belts do not exist anymore. I wish Saddleback would make me a belt :( Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi oguruma -

Noah Legal of Wasteland Leatherwork made a beautiful belt for me - just like you are describing -

I have been wearing it for quite a while now and it is still like new.

Very nice quality in my experience.

Actually, it's Rafter S Gunleather. I am wearing a brown shark myself right now, but they have excellent quality cowhide as well. And reasonable prices, about $85 for sharkskin, $50 for cowhide. I like em....

IF it will ever be used as a gun belt I can recommend Galco Contour belt and something from The Beltman.com. A STIFF gun belt assures that your firearm holster is where you want it or put it.

Pretty, limp dress belts don't cut it for that use.

Milt Sparks makes and excellent belt. I have been wearing an 1 1/4 inch wide black with plain nickel buckle in the pebbled texture on the leather. This belt is great for keeping the pants up when carrying a holster or knife sheath and looks good with jeans or dress pants.

I have used belts made by Mitch Rosen for Dillion Precision for a few years now. These are double thickness cowhide are are very study as the are made for holding the weight of handguns. Also have a belt made by Wild Bills Concealment Holsters (Located in NC I believe) that I have worn for over 10 years. I looks like crap now, but is still a great belt.

The good gun leather companies make fantastic belts. The Bianchi dress belt I have had for 5 years looks like new. It was made for hip holsters and dress slacks but, I don't have any holsters that fit it. It was about a 1/3 the cost of the big name holster makers at the time.

Wild bill garner nc he worked for Raleigh PD all my leather is by him hand made is usa right at his shop behind his house great guy!!

3rd vote for Duluth, amazing stuff.

My Cabelas one is beat after a year which isn't surprising since its been in the river with me a bunch of times but what did surprise me was that its made in China. I just found out while looking at it :(

+1 on both, though I prefer my Mitch Rosen belts.

They have some really nice stuff there at Duluth, I'm bookmarking that site for a future order. Leather rules!
