As I am a Doctor....I thought it would be neat to collect, none other but Doctor's knives! I already have one 2004 Case and one 2011 Case, so I am off to a good start. I wanted to know if there are any companies, other than Case, that produce quality Doctor's knives. I already looked at Hen & Rooster, but nothing else came up that was not Chinese. Do any of you know/own knives like these? Price doesn't matter. I just to get some ideas. Thank you.

Mike Alsdorf makes beautiful custom doctors knives, and they are very affordable. There are many other custom makers that make this model. Google will find them for you. I think you have a wonderful collection in the making. There is someone in this forum that has a similar collection and has posted many beautiful photos of this model (sorry for not remembering the user name, but I'm sure someone else will help).

Queen makes some pretty decent Doctor's knives, right here in the USA.

As others have said, Queen has some nice ones (and some either nicer ones through their Schatt & Morgan line).

And as mentioned, Mike Alsdorf's are incredible, I'm carrying this one today:

Dr. Vanguard, although it's not a Doctor pattern, the GEC Executive Whittler is in a similar vein, long slim elegant. It just might interest you as well? Take a look at Great Eastern Cutlery's website with its dealer links for info and pictures.

One of many of my favorite patterns.

They have been around for a while so there are plenty of ways to collect them.
Winchester (via queen/Blue Grass makes some nice ones) - aka Black box Winchesters.
Case classics - a nice run in the mid nineties.
Fighting Rooster.

Then there are antiques and Customs.

Here is a thread that shows some of the customs in my collection.

Thanks for posting those Gus, your collection of doctor's knives is probably the best there is.

If you're interested in vintage knives I see some good used ones pop up every once in a while.

Not too sure about that. Dr. Bill's collection always gets my interest up.

I love Bill's collection, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen a group picture of his doctor's knives. I know he's got a few from some Japanese makers that are amazing.

I'd say Gus and Dr. Bill have the best collections of Doctor's knives known to man. If I were you...I'd splurge on a custom
