I wonder if anyone carries a fixed blade in a sheath inside the waistband in a concealed carry fashion? I would invision that the shealth clips onto the outside waistband of the jeans.

I use a rubber IWB loop, the loop snaps around your belt. The sheath is IWB, loop is flipped over top of you pants around your belt. A untucked shirt, or coat covers the handle.

It works great for me, behind my right hip bone.

I had an inside the pants sheath made for a Bark River E.L.K. -- it works with other similar size knives also. When I use it, I wear it behing my right hip.

You guys should check out Boker Chad Los Banos MPT.
This one works great for concealed IWB carry. Together with a rubber belt loop and chicagoscrew.
;)

I do at times. A Koster K-Tusk or a small Busse.

I made a leather loop that comes over the edge of my pants then goes around my belt and snaps closed.

Very comfortable way to carry a small fixed.....

I will sometimes carry a SOG Mini-Pentagon IWB, with the retaining clip partially hidden by my belt. Works pretty well, especially in the winter when I have a coat on.

Not to jack the thread or anything, but I've been looking for another fixed blade that would work well with a IWB concealed carry. Ideally I'd like it to be a tanto point if at all possible. Any suggestions?

The BlackHawk Kalista is a nice knife to do that with. It comes with several different attachments for neck carry, paddle carry, OWB carry, & a plastic loop for IWB carry, as well as attachments to hook up to a bag or tactical vest.

Another knife that I used to carry IWB was the old Ontario RAT 3 with just the basic sheath (Using the clip that's molded into the sheath). Currently, I IWB carry a Polkowski custom Jammer FB. The sheath is kydex with a molded belt loop specifically for IWB carry. At an OAL of 7" & an angled handle, I have a solid 3" blade & about 4" of handle to grip. Works great & conceals easily.

Yes. Yes.

IWB sheats for small to medium sized blades typically have either a rubber or kydex loop or J-hook that attatches to the belt, so that your sheath doesn't come along on the draw.

For larger blades, Bowie size, a Southern Comfort style sheath works very well. It has no loop per se, just a knob that keeps the sheath from sliding down your pants. My 8" fighter came with a nice leather one, but Mike Sastre makes an excellent version from concealex. http://www.rivercitysheaths.com/

Amazingly, you can carry very large blades like this without "printing". I've been playing around with mine, wearing it with everything from hospital scrubs, to khakis and a polo, to snug designer jeans and a tight T-shirt. Just situate the sheath at about 4:00 and it'll disappear into the hollow of your butt cheek.

I carry a Scrapyard Yard Guard in a kydex IWB sheath made by Rainwalker Creations. It has a leather loop that your belt runs through. I could probably carry a Dogfather or even NMFBM this way, too.
