Does anybody else have bald spots on their arms?

I just can't resist testing sharpness on my arms and my kids love watching me pop hairs. That being said, I always have bald patches on my arms! Do you guys shave your arms or just stick with paper? I would probably use phone book paper but I don't have a phone book. Maybe I should wear a long sleeve shirt while sharpening and try to wean myself of the bad habit!

A few years ago I got accused of being a preppy boy. A guy thought I shaved my body hair because I had the sleeve slightly up on my left arm and there was no hair in sight. He assumed I shaved all my body hair! Was pretty funny conversation actually!

Glad to know I'm not the only one. One day i showed my brother how sharp my knife was and he proceeded to shave his lower leg. I had to stop him because he was getting hair all over the carpet. It's funny how alot of people don't ever get to use a razor sharp knife everyday...

I am sure you get junk mail, a good source of paper to test sharpness. Honestly I think shaving hair off your body island of twisted. But it is your body. JMHO.

Bald patches?

Try hairy patches. I have fewer of those:D

That said, at this point I'm now consciously trying to stop. It's really weird explaining to people why you don't have any hair on you arms or upper legs, and even weirder when you don't get the chance to and they just make assumptions....

I've managed to stay away from my legs for about a week, and thankfully things are growing back in nicely. My left arm is the worst as it's the most easily accessible

Reese Weiland told me that's called knife fighter's mange.

Yeah I had a friend ask me if I had got to close to a campfire or something, they thought I had singed the hair off my arms because there was only a few spots missing any.

You can definitely tell when I've been sharpening. I don't go crazy, but usually the top of my left wrist is lacking in hair.

So funny you started this thread. I was thinking of this today. While shaving yet another two-inch spot off my forearm.

People think I have right-arm only baldness, but it's actually a condition called "knifeaholica."

Rogaine perhaps?

I try to stick to shins. Plenty of hair and I always wear jeans so it takes the weirdness factor out of it. Still, I do have a few patches a bit thin (mostly grown back) on my left arm at the moment.

My left hand is half bald at the moment!

That's okay - your palms aren't meant to be hairy ;)

My left arm is pretty much completely smooth and my right arm only has a few patches of hair. Everyone who knows me pretty much knows it's a knife thing.

Sometimes I sharpen everything in sight. At those times I'll have no hair on my left arm anywhere, as well as patches missing from my left leg.

Bald left hand and both calves.
I'm used to people thinking i've got a strange disease, which in fact has a bit of truth to it,
