i've seen a couple of reviews on youtube and from what i've read there seems to be some blade play after opening and closing the blade after a while. anyone have one of these? any good/bad things to say about 'em?

I found it fun to play with but not very good for EDC. Not enough sweep for my tastes. As for the blade play, I never really experienced that, but if you discover a problem, some blue loctite should do the trick once you find that sweet spot.

I played around with one at a gun and knife show. However, it opened pretty stiffly, and the thing that really turned me off of it was the lock. It was really....really...let me use one more, really rough. Almost painfully so. I guess this could be looked at in two ways. On the one hand, it was deeply uncomfortable to close and took a lot of pressure that dug into the finger or thumb to disengage the lock. Not particularly user friendly. On the other hand, the lock was surprisingly difficult to disengage. Maybe that translates to greater security of lock up. I'm not sure. Lastly, i must take into account that this might have been a fluke. I have only handled the one. There weren't any others to be found at this show.

I have a Titanium Ti-Lite that I am fond of. It is very smooth opening and closing and the lock is just fine. No blade play and a solid lock-up. As with many knives, there is a certain 'break-in' period required for the Ti-Lite, but once used a bit, the Ti-Lite becomes smooth and fast.

I have the 6" Zytel Ti-lite. I used to carry it (along with a 4cell Maglite) when I walked my dogs around the neighbourhood. It's a pocket sword. I can't think of any other folder which carries that conveniently with anywhere near the same penetration ability. Depends on whether it's legal in your area.

A friend has the 4" Zytel Ti-lite. There are many other folders which will do the same (and perhaps more) than this model. However, if you like it, you won't be disappointed. My buddy swears by his. He uses it for cutting everything.

I have been carrying one off and on with my hatamoto I fixed up. I haven't experienced any blade play at all. I also put shrink tubing over the thumb stud to get a better purchase on it and make it a bit more comfortable. I haven't had a problem closing it either. For the 35 bucks I spent on mine I like it. It is razor sharp and just kind of a cool factor to it. keepem sharp

I have the 4" Zytel Ti-lite. It's a great blade I think, opens just fine and the lock hasn't given me trouble. I got it because I'm Italian and the style was very reminiscent of my father and grandfather's non-automatic stilettos. I would say it's an improvement on the traditional stiletto since you can open it on the draw from a pocket.

I don't carry it as much anymore because the blade is a little too long and straight for day-to-day tasks, and I frequently scared the hell out of people when I'd pull it out. Most non-knuts immediately assumed it was a switchblade because of the way I manipulate it (you can make it pop open very fast many different ways). Never got me in trouble, but I try not to make people nervous.

I had one of the original titanium Ti-Lites for a while. NICE knife. Never had any mechanical problems. I've been thinking of getting a Zytel model.

What I REALLY want is a 6" to go with my Vaquero Grande and Rajah II. :D

As glistam says, it will pop open very fast. I hardly ever used the thumbstuds, just caught the quillions on a pocket or table edge, or thumbed them.

It's a well-made sticker for sure. The liner has a "L" shape where it engages the tang, very strong. It opens faster than any other knife I own including an auto stiletto. The guards are sharp but that's my only gripe with this knife. If i ever get around to it i'm going to smooth them out. Great conceal carry inside pocket. I never clip it because it makes the butt end stick out kind of far and feels uncomfortable.

It's an okay knife. I have one, but I've never used it for utility (nor anything else, for that matter.) The lock might or might not wear out rather quickly. The steel seems kinda soft, and because it's so thick, there's a lot more rubbing against the tang. It is a strong lock, though.

I love my 6 inch Ti-Lite.I can flick it open and it has a very strong lock.(for a liner lock that is). Keeper.

No I find no particular purpose for it that it would excel at. Maybe letter opener.

I have the 4" Titanium, and two 6" models. I edc a 6" Ti-Lite and alternate it with the Rajah II, depending on what I'm wearing/where I'm going. The Ti-Lite is easy to conceal for such a long blade. All three are strong and well built for a reasonable price.

the 4 inch one makes an excellent edc, in my top 10. its slim, but has a good size blade, easy to flick open with my thumb like a switchblade.

If you want a better knife for EDC that opens when you pull it out of your pocket, go Spyderco Endura or Delica Waved. Better steel, better ergonomics, better company, more consistent opening.

I have the 6" version.
It opens very smoothly with the thumb, and if you want to use the guard to open it as you pull from your pocket that works very well too.
It carries very well for such an extremely large folding knife. Pocket clip and lock are both very solid. ZERO blade play in mine.
I imagine this thing would be a good defencive tool, with excellent penetration.

I have a 4 inch Ti-lite, my knife started showing noticeable blade play after practicing opening and closing the knife. In fact, my current Ti-lite is a replacement Ti-lite. The first one, when I opened it out of the box, I noticed that there was minor blade play. When I brought it back to the store, the dealer told me all Ti lites have some blade play. I didnt believe him...but I guess I'm wrong..lol

It's not bad at all for what it is, the only grievances i have about it is the unbelievably uncomfortable top guard, and that it wiggles from side to side.

Also, i somehow managed to break the plastic thingy that covers the space in the back of the handle behind the stop pin. :foot:

The 6'' one is something to behold! Very very nice handle, much better than the theoretically slippery one on the 4''.
Very sturdy, and i love the blade.

I have a blue anodized TI and like the way it feels in the hand but not the pocket,,,like most CS folders its overbuilt so they feel a bit too heavy for EDC. Not saying I don't use it on occasion, just not in my EDC line up.
