i just got my first esee a rc-4 and was wondering if the tek-lok is worth getting my knife came with molle locks.

With a belt from reading, yes. Molle locks have popped open with the twisting they get on a belt and people have lost their knives as a result using Molle clips as a belt clip. They are really meant for the Molle strapping/webbing where things stay fairly straight compared to on a belt where you sit down and they get torqued against things.

For a belt though, you can just weave paracord through four of the holes ...on the front an 'X' on the back it would be "| |" where the corners of the X are holes in the sheath. Of course you have to take the belt off to remove the sheath or untie the paracord.

Assuming you are talking about belt carry, then yes.

I still prefer the good old paracord belt loops.

Tek-clip is the way to go - plenty of grip for staying on your belt, but you don't have to remove your belt to take the knife off it.
molle locks are for attaching to molle gear - like a pack - not a belt.
