It seems like everytime I try to use the search page to research something I know has been dealt with many times before, I just get the blank page returned to me.
Since this time is no different, I will ask the question(s).
Are there any advantages or disadvantages (pros and cons) to a double cut blade? Are double cut and double cut bead blasted the same thing?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd say the advantages compared to other non coating finishes are that its easier for the shop to do en masse. It's a non reflective finish, whether thats an advantage or not depends.
A draw back would be that you cant maintain the finish as the knife gets scratches as you could with a satin finish.

It's the same as bead blasting. For those that don't like the candy-colored blades, it's a great option, and easier to turn to "satin" if desired.

I think DC also rusts faster than satin finish. No personal experience, just read it on Scrap Yard forums about my new DMDC.

I'd say this is true. The non-glare finish is also useful for sneaking up on sentries :D

being non-reflective it is better for sneaking around, but not as good to signal with. dc<satin as for corrosion resistance. if maintained properly both would be no problem in the field. when back in the rear, you can maintain it more thoroughly.
