Double Sided Balisong

Sure there are, they are just not in production. The stiletto I beleive is what it was called.

Sure, I got one, but since it has no depth, its kinda hard to flip.

If you talk nicely to Sniperboy, I think that you could buy one.

personially my first balisong was a double edged kriss, it didn't manuplate too well (handles stuck alot of the time.) but it was fun to play with. (That and having over a 5 inch blade was pretty cool to have in boy scouts)

double-bladed or dual-bladed is what you should have said

, leave it to Chuck to give you the scientific reasoning behind his joke though. I wonder what a balisong would look like in 4 dimensions??

Well, it would leave a three dimensional shadow.

Actually he should have said "Double-Edged." A double-bladed balisong would be almost as odd as a two-sided one

As your topic line is "double sided balisong" it implies that the knife should have two sides, two sides would mean that it would have just two sides not two edges it would just be like a paper! not very useful

So maybe a tad more correct would be a "two edged" balisong, thus meaning that it has two sharpened edges.

The one's that i know that are around are Benchmades custom knives, very hard to find and expensive too. (but THE best of course!)
Some Filipino handmades are double edged too, not as nice as Benchmade but i like my kris bladed (a kris blade is kinda like a waved shape blade with two edges)
There are double edges on a number of cheapie bali's too, like the "Rostfrei" kind.

Look here for Filipino knives: http://www.goodnet.com/~jdandy/ (at the bottom of the page, slow loading)
Knifezilla has kris bladed bali's, here: http://www.knifezilla.com/ (might be better called "wave bladed"?)
Here's a "true" kris bladed bali, made by Herbertz: http://www.knifeshop.com i've got one of those and the quality isn't that good.
I think that i've seen those available in the USA too, but can't recall where.

Hope that i helped some

good luck!

>>Anyone know where I can get a hold of a double sided balisong?

About the only thing you can do right now would be to order one from someone who lives in the Philippines. You most likely have to have it custom made. The price on them would be fantastic, but you would be taking a one in five chance on it getting confiscated by customs, when they shipped it over. thanks, JohnR7

That knife is new in the box and has never been latched open........I know of a similar knife without the sheath, box, warranty card, etc...that a lucky forumite was able to purchase and it was over $700! This is one of only a couple of customs I've ever seen that was still new in the box...

I thought double sided as the one you cannot ever close it as the other side always comes out ..

or should I say it double bladed?

Am I adding confusion here?
