Dozier Folders

One of the best EDC values out there - I have bought at least 6 or 8 of these over the years. I keep them in various bags, cars, etc. Makes a great gift - gave my sister a pink one. The thumb stud works well, but I prefer the thumb notch version.

Hold a good edge, easy to sharpen and won't break your heart if you ding it up as they are usually way under $20.

I've thought about these a few times. Never pulled the trigger for whatever reason. Look like nice little blades.

Folding Dozier hunter in the Coyote tan colour was one of the first knives I ever bought. Light, slim, easy to sharpen and holds a decent edge, cheap enough that if I lose it I won't cry..... Can't really think of anything to complain about as an EDC folder:thumbup:

Heck of an EDC!

I've always given KaBar Dozier folders as gifts. Great knives, especially for the price.

Any chance of seeing one matching the quality of AG Russells Dozier folder from Ka-Bar, maybe with a D2 blade?

Got a couple of the 440C (I think that's right) versions when they first came out.
Gave one to my cousin, who loved it. Mine's been riding in my truck tool box and gets used pretty often.
However, I like it enough that I'm going to stick another knife in the box and put the Dozier into the carry rotation.
My two-year-old has been reminding me every day she wants a pink Dozier folder. :p
I'll get her one soon and put it back for when she's considerably older.

Great thread, Ive had my eye on the Kabar Dozier for a while...

Any more pics are appreciated...I think its great the knife is offered in those military colors too, I really like the tan color.

Just ordered one in foliage green. Looking forward to getting it.

Well it's as close to a folding BK2 as I'm likely to ever have and the price is right too. :D

oh, that's not true :)

take a BK2, cut it in half, drill a hole in the blade, add some slabs... yah!

don't forget the Zombie folder. thems dang knice knives too

frame locks is pretty nifty. love me sebenzas. i'm waiting for that crafty person to mod a BK2 into a sebenzabeast like knife. someday? good hack :>

I'm such a sucker for spear point! I miss my little guy. Gave it away to my cousin, spur the moment, one day he was admiring it.

I like my Phat Bob! In fact I liked it so much I bought two which I often do when I find one I love.
Over the years I've had many Kabars mailed to me for work and one of my favorites is the aluminum bodied models. I don't recall the model and I wish I had some pics of the whole knife but customers post pics in my forum and usually only focus on what it was to me for. Every time I see one of these little guys I say to myself one of these days I'm going to buy me one. Have yet to get one though but they are great knives! Oh and of course these pics show a couple of my mods so sorry if that throws some off. One thing I always look at is resale. You don't see these coming up much on the resale market so I figure thats cuz folks keep em once they get one!

STR, your phat bob post was one of the reasons I finally bought mine. Wish I had the lettuce to have you mod mine similarly.

I assume you mean the one on my blog from last Aug I think it was? Anyway, thanks glad to know someone actually visits my blog now and then. :D

Do note that there is now a chance to win a Dozier Folder in one of the contests.

I nearly got hives when I just stripped my BK11 - don't see chopping a BK2 in half (twitch). It's just... wrong, man!
