Thanks for the pics. I'm curious as to the wire cutter. The slot on the fixed HEST is deep. the folder has a small choil instead, but has what looks like slots at the top, doubling as thumb jimping. Any thoughts?

from what I know, there is no wire cutter on the HEST/F, just a choil
...it's about the HRC of the steel used , and its properties, like very hard

That is awesome BUT why does TOMSO have one? I may have missed something?

I think he pretty much designed it:D

There are a few prototypes out there, and that's one of them.

He was part of the initial design team if I remember correctly. He has one of the few prototypes that were made. Lucky bastard!

Actually I bought it on ebay for 25.99$ and just pretend I had something to do with development. :D

Sorry, Tom. I really didn't mean any disrespect. I was just WAY confused!

If you helped design then you are now on my COOL people list.:D

Keep up the good work.

IIRC, it was mentioned at one point long ago that the thumb jimping could be used for stripping wire.

haven't heard of anyone testing out a proto for that use yet, and the production knives should be available soon.

Thank's Tomso. Great pics...pure knife porn. Can only hope to see my two before the end of the month.

Hi Tomso -

Thank you for the video and pictures.

It will be nice to have these knives in our hands.

Thanks and best regards -

Well crap. I thought I was done after the Fallkniven F1 and the Esee-6. I told myself I was done. ...then I started looking at these pictures and videos. I guess a HEST folder is in my future.
