Did anyone have any luck with finding a Spec Ops combat master sheath recently? Seems like they have discontinued the whole line of products, not sure why because they are my absolute favourite for knife carrying on camping trips! Easy attachment to the belt, then comfortably secured to the leg by a simple drawcord, and it even has a small pocket perfect for a lighter or a folder too.

If they are gone for good, is there a good alternative or Kydex attachments that can do the trick?

For a kydex sheath, I would highly recommend David Brown. He made me a drop loop sheath for my trough raider and it has worked out amazing. If the drop loop isn’t quite what you are looking for I’m sure he can help you figure out something.

here is something I rigged up for a TGULB
It is modular

Ringed Dangler that works w/telok

fire starter and holder

ceramic rod and holder

ESEE pouch with tin

Why is there always that big ridge in the sheath over the fuller? What does the back side look like?

I know you were asking Dave, but thought I'd throw-in a pic for you.

The danglers are incredibly (*and very conveniently) modular. In fact, most of my BB sheaths started-out as just a standard sheath with a large Tek-Lok attached. Because of the modularity, I was easily able to convert them to dangler sheaths. (*I usually wear my shirts untucked, and the dangler is perfect for putting the sheath on my belt and allowing me easy access to my knife)

Whenever you buy a BB sheath, the question "RH or LH?" is part of the order. Dave's sheaths are ambidextrous, but it appears that Dave tries to put his signature drain hole and "BB" logo on the off-side (*orange circles), depending on your order/response. (*You may already know this)

Hope this helps in some way. Happy hunting...

Molded Negative space so the kydex does not rub the finish when sheathing and unsheathing.
