I like the design ! It looks very good. What did you use for the handle ? Bladesteel , size...? Curious

The above knife of course does not belong to me. However, I have had it for a couple of days to do the photographs. You would never in a hundred years guess that it was only his 5th knife made. The overall fit and finish would lead one to believe that he was a long time quality maker. The handle scales are perfectly fitted to the wonderfully tapered tang. The mosaic pins are flush with the scales. Blade grind and mirror polish are among the best I have seen. The bolsters and scales are dovetailed and even on both sides. Brett (kaos) has a real future in knife making. I am now waiting on a wharncliffe from him...gonna be a hard wait

The knife in the picture was a joy to handle, and will be on its way to its rightful owner tomorrow.

Adler,

The steel is ATS-34 hardened (by Rob Simonich) to RC 60. The handles are dyed maple burl. Blade length is 3 1/4" and overall length is 7 7/8".

Richard,

You're making me blush.

Phil,

Thanks for the kind words. While I haven't mentored under anyone directly, you could say the generous people of this forum were my mentors. For that, I am truly grateful.

Brett

Whew. Fantastic looking job Kaos!

I got to see that photo a couple of nights ago. Brett showed it to me when we were in the chat room. Let's just say I now have one on order

I took several shots of the knife. Fellow forumite PhilL, who has been a huge help to me by giving me honest tips and advise, and also helping me when I have questions about the software side of it. When he finds something in a picture, he makes suggestions on how it might be improved, and offers helpful solutions. Well, when I discussed this picture with him briefly, he liked it, but suggested that the photo might have to much red tint to it. Sooo, after cleaning the terribly thick layer of dust off my monitor, it would seem he is quite correct

So, here is an additional picture that I hope does more justice to this fine blade. Keep the help coming Phil, it honestly means alot to me, and you have helped me improve over time.
