Duane Dwyer lousy customer service

Seems like a good guy to me. Replaces knives and makes sure customers are happy. Now, Josh Lee is another story.

If you're going to post "lousy customer service" about a seller you need to provide details. Simply posting a comment with no basis or explanation and soliciting feedback from others doesn't help the community.

This !!!!

Getting into the character side, as opposed to the customer service side, will lead down a well-trodden path.

Duane has had my $1,250 custom for repair since June and has provided sparse feedback to my numerous inquiries. He eventually offered in early Nov to refund my money but has gone incommunicado once again and I have not received my refund.
I posted this thread to find out if anyone else has had similar experiences with him.

there is a pretty detailed thread about a similar experience on the USN forums feedback section. It was resolved, but not by him.

Some of the turds I've seen left by my dog look better than some of his customs. Hunt him down, get a refund and NEVER spend a red cent on his or mick striders knives again. Then spread the word to help others avoid the same issues you are experiencing.

Im so sorry to hear that but i assure you Duane is a great guy and would do anything he could to not let his customers down. Im going to see him on Thursday. Anything i can do to help get the ball rolling? Just pm or email me and i will do my best to make it happen.

Old news for Strider and crew. For years people have had shipping issues, trouble reaching them, excessive waiting for simple work etc. Sorry to hear that you're another one taken in. Best to get your money back ASAP and not deal with Mickey Ray Burger & Co. again.

Bingo.

I think some of the people here need to slow dowb adding to the list that should only have 1 name on it.

While i dont currently own any strider knives... anytime i contacted Mick Strider with an issue he always took care of it. Its the other half that has had many issues the last few years. Lets just try to keep this on topic please.

My issue is with Duane Dwyer's customer service, or lack there of, and not Mick Strider. In fact, all my Strider knives have been great and Mick's customer service has been prompt and the repairs well done.

I bought one of his customs off the secondary that had lock rock issues. Had planned to send it in but could never get ahold of Duane by email or #. I've heard he's a stand up guy through and through and one of the nicest to talk to at shows but have heard he's not the most punctual or responsive in terms of warranty repair or small fixes on his knives. Ended up moving it for what I had.

A friend of mine got a new DDC from dealer with issues as well a while back. Big Strider supporter and enthusiast. Sent it in and waited several months but could never get ahold of Duane and the state of repair...eventually just went for the full refund instead.

I hope this gets resolved.
And let's not turn this into a Strider-hate thread.

Mick had to step in to get one of my old DDCs back a couple of years ago.. Mick was very professional about it and I don't think I ever heard from Duane but it was a long time ago so I may be wrong. Seems to come up occasionally about Duane though..

Running a business and dropping FULL refunds I wonder how long he will last, money pit will dry up eventually.
