Many of you have some Ducks Unlimited imprinted knives. These Ducks Unlimited knives are all "Special Projects" knives (S.P. started 1971). John Hunt brilliantly explains Special Projects/made-to-order knives (scarce knives, rare and unique knives, includes black bag (fancy draw string sock) fine gun room legacy Bass Pro models) and lays out their history flat on the now available DVD from the BCCI 25th. Let's see em! Pretty please :)

Here is my DU model 429D13, Selector with box, paperwork, sheath, blade covers and three blades (the label fell off due to lack of stickem) to start:

The three Selector blades: Drop Point, Clip Point and Saw (notice the mildly magnetic magnetite horse chocking handful of magnets used to pose the blades):

Thank you for looking.

This is a Ducks Unlimited 119 housed in a nice velvet lined walnut case. An attractive sheath embossed with the DU shield as well as the DU shield laser etched into the lid of the box. 100 of these were made in 1983. The downside of sets like this is the box is huge and you have to store it.

A 1995 Ducks Unlimited model 914. This blade shape is similar to an old Marbles pattern.

This is a Ducks Unlimited "Raffle Set" that followed me home from a Gun Show last year. I found it listed in the 1997 Special Projects list with an issue of 3,002 sets. Not rare but I don't think too many people would have kept the bulky tray. Again, a real PITA to store.

OK, I've primed the pump with reposts from Sundays past. Oregon, love those selector blades. ITE, I know you've got some. Lets see those gold etched 110's and 112's gang.

Here's a Ducks Unlimited Bowie Blade... I hope to let Leroy or Stone put a handle on it someday...

:)

Here is some pictures of the Buck Duck's Unlimited knives that I have. A couple of them I have never seen anywhere else before. The 192 Vanguard with the Master Series checkered green handle and the the one with the wood handle and no blade etch and the dark burgundy sheath. Not sure what the model number of that one is and the tang stamp just says "BUCK CUSTOM USA".

Nice to see all the different versions everyone has in their collection. That 119 is one I have never seen before. Great find DeSotoSky along with that 3 knife set.

Does anyone know the pattern model number of the bottom knife in gedlick's picture?

Hi De,

It looks like a model 400 without the hole in the blade IMHO.

So where are all the Ducks...

migrating?

in shoe boxes, safes, display cabinets, storage lockers, dresser drawers, safe deposit boxes, stacked in their boxes in bedroom closets and waiting patiently to be displayed in Atlanta or an auction or a list or ...

They were eaten/enjoyed for lunch:
