I was on Amazon today and stumbled upon the most laughable knife ever - a 3” bayonet for a handgun.

Sorry, I haven’t figured out how to post a picture. If anybody cares please do so (thanks).

Here’s the product discription from Amazon:

Firefield Mini Blade Gunner

Description
When your back is against the wall and you're out of ammo, you'll need something legit to get out alive. Give your pistol a sick look and prep for survival at the same time with the Firefield Mini Blade Gunner. Featuring a smooth, stainless steel blade and matte black finish, this lightweight 3-inch clip point blade offers protection with a seamless tactical look. It fits securely on any medium to large pistol with a weaver or picatinny rail, and slides on and off easily with the press of a button. The knife yields a rock-solid polymer handle with grip texture for extra strength and durability. Handheld or weapons mounted, this versatile pistol bayonet also includes a custom nylon sheath. CAUTION: This blade is not a toy. Be careful of sharp edge to prevent injury.

Oh yeah. Now I can cut an apple with my .45
Note to self: Must remember to have safety on...

I think CZ did it as a joke a few years back and for whatever reason people missed the parody and it actually caught on. The details are a bit foggy to me.

Oh boy. This thing. Fuel for nightmare. I bought the laserlyte model a long time ago when they released it, just for s***t and giggles. Knife was like a mini ka-bar, sharp but definitely not practical. Was looking nasty when attached tho. Fastening system for the rail was a quick release tool-less spring claw and was efficient. Shot .45 ACP and it did not move.
I was using a modular cordura/velcro holster and it did not really mess up with my draw. But I used it with the blade housed in the rigid plastic sheath it was sold with. So if I had to use the knife on my pistol (!), I had to pull the sheath out. Better do that when you're in between mags :)

Overall it's a great thing to get yourself hurt. Just don't.

Those have been around 5 or 6 years. From what I've read they were intended to be a gimmick, like in the vein of zombie-killer knives. I kind of wanted one when I first saw them, just for the laughs, but then I came to my senses.
