Dynamo Powered Radios

Most of the Dynamo Powered Radios I've found don't have a very sensitive tuner and need to be cranked while they're being listened to if the AAs are depleted. I have a Grundig FR-200 that has worked fairly well for several years but the tuner drifts off frequency occasionally. If I was starting over on the purchase I would get a better quality radio with a digital tuner. With a good portable solar charger and spare rechargeable AAs you'd have plenty of juice to keep your radio going in an emergency.

Regarding Dynamo Powered Radios, I would recommend these two.

I have an ETON and it works pretty well, but the gears are plastic -- don't drop it on the crank or you'll be looking for a replacement.
